Linn Valley Lakes Fishing Summary 2008
Big Lake
Bass
Fishing should be fair, size ranging between 4 and 16 inches in length. Numbers are low, but there is evidence of consistent reproduction. They are in good condition and average weight. No wipers were observed.
Panfish
Crappie population is low, Black Crappie observed were between 8 and 11 inches in length.
Walleye
Fishing should be fair, size ranging between 11 and 19 inches in length. The size and condition is lacking.
Channel Catfish
Fishing should be very good, weight ranging between 1 to 7 pounds. They were observed to be in fair condition.
5 Acre Lake
Bass ranged between 7 and 16 inches. Redear sunfish and bluegill were observed lakewide none over 8 inches in length. Channel catfish plentiful.
Park Lake-Elm Street
Bass in good numbers length ranging from 4 to 14 inches. Bluegill and Redear less than 8 inches. Channel catfish average 2 pounds.
10 Acre Lake
Bass
Fishing should be excellent, length ranging between 4 and 22 inches. Bass over 7 pounds should be present by spring 2009.
Panfish
Fishing should be good. Bluegill length ranging between 6 and 8 inches. Redear Sunfish average 9 inches and Black Crappie range between 8 and 10 inches. Green sunfish, Golden shiners, and Logperch were also observed.
Channel Catfish
Fishing should be excellent ranging between .5 and 6 pounds. This lake has a healthy population of Channel Cat.
7 Acre Lake
Bass
Fishing should be excellent, they are in fair to good condition lacking in size. On average less than 15 inches in length.
Panfish
Fishing should be good. Bluegill averaged 8 inches, Redear sunfish averaged over 10 inches, and Hybrid Bluegill averaged about 10 inches.
Channel Catfish
Catfish are abundant in this lake up to 5 pounds.
