General Information

Administration:
The Board of Directors is a five person elected body. Each director seat is for a three (3) year term. A Treasurer and Secretary are appointed by the Board of Directors. The General Manager is a salaried employee of the Association.

Membership:
In order to enjoy membership privileges, an owner of Linn Valley Lakes Property Owners Association shall establish membership rights by presenting at the POA General Office a copy of a recorded legal document showing ownership. Upon receipt of this documentation, change of ownership is made in our records and, if assessments are current, membership cards will be mailed.

When you purchase property in Linn Valley Lakes you automatically become a member of the POA and are obligated to pay assessments. Assessments are the primary source of revenue for operating and maintaining the recreational facilities of Linn Valley Lakes. These properties, which are owned in common by all property owners, include the golf course, lakes, swimming pools, clubhouses, etc. Assessments are due the first day of the month and considered delinquent the last day of the month. As long as payments are received in advance interest will not be charged. Interest of 6% per annum is charged on assessments that are delinquent.

The consequence of non-payment of POA assessments is outlined in our Covenants and Restrictions, Bylaws and policies established by the Board of Directors. An assessment balance equal to or greater than the amount of the current year’s assessments will be turned over for collection via an outside agency as of March 1 of the proceeding year in which the annual assessment value is due on the case of assessments in arrearage.

Association Meetings:

The regularly scheduled Executive Session of the Board of Directors time is 8:00am on the third Saturday of each month. The Board will step out into private session to discuss any personnel (human resource) or legal (potential litigation) matters as warranted. Federal and state regulations revolving around the Privacy Act mandate these matters cannot be discussed in public. The General Meeting session remains set for 9:00am. The Board Meetings are held at the Community Center.
