Reciprocal Agreement – Sugar Valley Lakes
The Board of Directors approved a reciprocal golf agreement with Sugar Valley Lakes. The agreement gives Linn Valley golfers, that are in good standing, the right to golf at Sugar Valley at their members prices and vice versa. Linn Valley golfers must obtain a golf member card from the Linn Valley Lakes POA Office. You will also be given a copy of the agreement that gives specific rules that must be followed.
REGULATING THE USE OF LINN VALLEY LAKES & PONDS
The City of Linn Valley and the Linn Valley Lakes POA Board have been working on a Resolution and Ordinance requesting the City to enforce the regulations as put forth in Ordinance 90 - Read More. This will be a cooperative effort between the POA and the City in the registration of the boats and the enforcement of the Ordinance. The ordinance and resolution have been approved.
All boats and PWC will continue to register at the POA office. There is no fee for this registration but every boat and PWC must have a current sticker to be allowed on the Main Lake.
STORM SHELTER LOCATIONS
The Clubhouse, Golf Course Pro Shop and the Bathhouses are the designated storm shelters for our community. The Clubhouse will be opened when the Storm Commander activates the siren indicating we are under a “storm warning”. There are several of the firemen, policemen and employees with keys that will coordinate to make sure that the Clubhouse is opened when the siren is activated. The Pro Shop can be used only if it is during their business hours.
New Package Policy
All packages that are delivered to the POA Office by UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc., must be picked up within two (2) business days of delivery. If the packages are not picked up, they will be sent back with the delivery company. If you are expecting a package and do not have a telephone at your home, it is your responsibility to check on the package. If this is inconvenient for you, you may request that your package(s) be delivered directly to your home. All you must do is contact the office staff that you want home delivery.

Compactor Abuse/Misuse
Items continue to be placed in or around the compactor that are not allowed. Please take these items to the LaCygne compactor area or to the Linn County Landfill. If the compactor is full, please do not leave your trash sitting on the ground outside of the compactor. Please return with your trash later in the day when there is room to deposit it in the compactor. Volunteer members of the association and employees check the dumpster area several times per day to see that the deposited trash is contacted to provide room for the next member’s deposit. Leaving materials alongside side the compactor causes both an unsightly mess and additional hourly employee wage hour dollars to clear the area. Both misuses of compactor privileges cost every member some portion of assessment dollars!
Lot Development Reminder
All property owners are required to obtain permission, via a Building Permit, from the Linn Valley Architectural Control Committee before any clearing of trees or development is done on their lot's) or common property. The forms are available at the Business Office and should be returned to the Business Office prior to scheduled meetings of the Architectural Committee for review and approval. Fees at this time range from $5.00 - $25.00. Please check the calendar for their scheduled meeting times. Separate building permits are required by the City of Linn Valley and its ordinances. Further information, such as fee rates and forms, are available at City Hall located on 2400 Road east of Linn Valley Lakes.
Spread the Word...
Members - are you expecting a commercial truck delivery? Please inform your delivery provider that the commercial entrances are located approximately one half mile south and north of these entrance/exit sites for use by heavy tonnage trucks (ex: building supply deliveries, concrete trucks, and manufactured homes.) It is necessary to contact the office in advance and make arrangements with LVL staff for entry at the locked gates.
The commercial entrances provide easier access to the community for the larger, heavier weight trucks making deliveries as well as lessening excessive wear and tear on Linn Valley Drive and north lakefront roads. This will help prolong the quality and life of the newly surfaced main traffic artery.
Please observe posted speed limits and roadway courtesies for the safety of everyone on the improved roadway.
